Job Summary:

The Laser Operator is responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

Understands machine setup including: program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials Can perform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications Understands start-up and shut down for laser machines Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed Must read prints, job orders and bill of materials Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Performs routine maintenance and repairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of the laser operation and capabilities. Strong attentions to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes Excellent mechanical skills. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a team and independently

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred. On-the-job training offered. 1-3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of operating machinery. Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time #HSM125

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
