How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be involved with assembly, disassembly, quality testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced customer service environment. Problem-solving:
Proficiency in DC-AC, solid state theory, audio signals, video signals, and applications; Read and understand complex assembly drawings, schematics, and test procedures; Possess the ability to solder to the component level; Ability to read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics (Oscilloscope, digital multi-meters, signal analyzers, multi-meters, mega ohm meter, calipers, other measuring devices, etc.); Possess a general knowledge of the use and operation of basic hand and power tools. Have excellent problem solving and decision making skills; Experience with building and troubleshooting wiring harnesses. Working knowledge of basic clutch and bearing systems. Excellent knowledge of a motor and its internal components 2.Communication & Teamwork:
Ability to accurately annotate and maintain repair documentation. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Possess basic computer skills. 3.Reliability:
Possess good attendance and work ethic Be punctual and have a good attendance record. Have the flexibility to work overtime when required. What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience Candidate must have a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent military experience in an electrical-mechanical field. Preferred minimum of 2 years' verifiable experience as an electronics technician Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High level of mechanical and electrical competency; Experience in design, repair, analysis of electronic systems; Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office tools; Ability to take direction from others. Education & Certifications Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an electrical or mechanical field. Travel & Working Environment No travel expected for this role; Normal work hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm ; Must be flexible to work overtime, as needed; Periodically lift up to 50 pounds and spend hours standing, sitting, and/or walking during a normal day.
