Job Description
Automation Technician Specialist Roc Service Company Job Summary The Automation technician specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of all automatic platforms for the Business Unit. Accountable for the safety of employees, contractors, ROC Service Company resources and the environment in their area. They cover the Tri-state area. Responsibilities Proactively identifies ways to improve and enhance practices and procedures to ensure sound health, safety and environmental conditions. Assists with operating and troubleshooting production facility equipment according to established safety rules and regulations to provide uninterrupted production volumes. Completes field operations in according with ROC Service Company EHS policies and procedures. Performs pre-commissioning and commissioning of all new electrical equipment. Performs shutdown tests, inspections, maintenance and calibration on equipment safety devices. These include Fire and Gas Safety Systems, shutdown valves and various instruments. Performs regular maintenance and troubleshooting of Facility unit control and measurement flow computer systems, motor control circuits and variable frequency drives and communication systems. Interfaces PLC (Programmable Logical Controls) with laptop computer to revise PLC programming. Interprets one-line diagrams and control system schematics. Assist with pneumatic control maintenance. Properly calibrates all instrument transmitters. Will be required to provide inspections, final sign off and documentation for pre-startup safety review meetings. Control workflow, operational planning and performance improvement. Track and manage corrective actions. Complete administrative paperwork of work hours and associated work completed on the production facility production pad daily. Always maintain good interpersonal and Customer relationships. Immediately report all accidents to EHS Group. Make certain that all required personal protective equipment is being used. Assure that JSEA's are conducted at beginning of each shift change out and that a JSEA will be conducted when job scope changes. Assure that all Procedures are followed to avoid accidents, damage to the equipment, and harm to the environment. Qualifications Electrical license preferred but not required Modbus communication experience and basic understanding required Allen Bradley, ROC and Wonderware experience preferred Have knowledge of generator controls, PLC, SCADA Telemetry and computers 5+ years' experience working in the oil and gas industry preferred 5 years of Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical experience preferred Technical certification as normally acquired per a 2-year course of study in applicable field or equivalent experience preferred High School Diploma or equivalent minimum preferred Able to read and understand electrical, loop and control schematic prints Must be familiar with calibration of static pressure, differential pressure, level, safety and temperature transmitters Preferred experience in gas processing facility work, production facility work or manufacturing environment Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle required Willing/able to work in all weather conditions Competent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills Willingness to travel on occasion Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization Willingness to adapt and be a team player in various environments and situations (service environment) Self motivated and able to remain productive without immediately present supervision Bi-lingual is a plus but not required
Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 70 per weekBenefits:
