BDi Machinery Sales, Inc. is an importer of specialty agricultural equipment to meet the needs of fruit, vegetable, row-crop and nursery growers. We pride ourselves on being a partner to our customers and customers of our dealers, to provide them with the latest technological advances in agricultural specific equipment. We are actively recruiting for a Farm Equipment Mechanic to support our growing company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Farm Equipment Assembly, Diagnosis, Service, Repair:
  • Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems with machines
  • Complete repairs and service for all customer and company machines
  • Assembly and testing of all new, used, and customer machines
  • Provide guidance and direction to staff members on machines
  • Proactive and Reactive phone calls to customers to troubleshoot machine issues
  • Prioritize work orders and assignments to process jobs through shop
  • Recommends all contract and out sourced repairs
  • Finalize and approve completed work orders
  • Inspect and maintain all shop equipment and work area for safe operating condition
  • Responsible for the maintaining supplies and parts to conduct services in work shop
  • Practice safe work habits and use personal protective equipment as required
  • Assist to implement shop procedures and policies Warehouse and Logistics
  • Conduct physical inventory of company's parts supply as requested
  • Manage Safe Organized Unloading of Containers and Stocking of Inventory
  • Prepare machines for shipments and pickups
  • customer and LTL
  • Generate and assist with Size Weight Dimensions for shipments
  • Label and Attach Bill of Lading for shipments and transport decals
  • Loading and unloading of both customer and company machines.
  • Conduct over the road inspection/preparation of company vehicles Building and Facility Maintenance
  • Monitor company equipment for minor and major repairs
  • Forklift, Skid steer, etc.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and appearance of shop and parking lot area
  • Communicate Any Items and Supplies Needed to be Ordered
  • Assist with maintaining company vehicles, records and repair data
  • Recommends all contract and out sourced repairs
  • Assist with the development of the shop costs for budgeting
  • View and attend available training classes and professional development as provided
  • Assist to implement shop procedures and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements
  • Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is required.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and repair techniques and procedures (Farm Machinery a plus.)
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components, power cords, solder, and perform some heavy lifting as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Works well with others especially in a team setting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Friendly and positive attitude and demeanor
  • Deadline oriented
