Monaca, PA Start date: September 2026 End date: December 2026 Position Overview This Rotating Equipment Inspector opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with deep experience in rotating equipment repair, inspection, and maintenance assurance. The Rotating Equipment Inspector will provide technical oversight across repair activities, machining work, and third-party vendor scopes within a heavy industrial environment. This position offers the chance to play a key role in equipment reliability, repair quality, and safe operational performance. The Rotating Equipment Inspector will support complex maintenance decisions and help ensure work is delivered in line with established engineering and repair standards. Role Context This role is based at a polymers facility in Monaca, Pennsylvania. The Rotating Equipment Inspector will work within an industrial maintenance and reliability environment, supporting rotating equipment repair activities and coordinating with engineering, reliability, maintenance, and external repair vendors. Key Responsibilities Provide technical assurance and guidance for rotating equipment repairs and shop machining activities. Review troubleshooting outcomes, equipment condition assessments, and technical findings from the field. Develop and manage repair scopes of work and support deviation management activities. Create equipment specifications, job plans, inspection plans, and repair work packages. Support maintenance teams with rotating equipment repair execution and planning. Audit maintenance processes to ensure repair quality requirements and standards are consistently achieved. Maintain equipment files, engineering records, inspection reports, and bills of material. Conduct root cause failure analysis and document findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Develop risk-based repair solutions considering safety, reliability, lifecycle cost, schedule, and operational impact. Provide technical support for spare parts identification and procurement activities. Act as the technical focal point for repairs carried out by external machine shops and repair vendors. Coordinate with Rotating Equipment Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Maintenance, and third-party contractors on complex repair decisions.Qualifications & Experience Essential:
10 to 15+ years of experience in rotating equipment inspection, maintenance, reliability, or repair within refining, petrochemical, chemical, polymer, or energy facilities.Essential:
Demonstrated expertise with pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, seals, bearings, and associated rotating equipment.Essential:
Experience supporting equipment overhauls, shop inspections, and vendor repair surveillance.Essential:
Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repair planning capability.
