ThisAUTOMATION SUPERVISOR

Utilizing independent judgment, this position will oversee the design, programming, simulation, implementation, and testing of automated machinery and processes to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. Supports the Company philosophy concerning unions and works to maintain a union free environment through the utilization of good supervisory practices Possesses a strong commitment to a safe work environment, and practices and maintains adherence to Company Safety Policies through education and accountability Minimizes unplanned downtime and drives continuous improvement in the automation field Supervises and directs the daily activities of the Electronics Technician Team Members Identifies and schedules daily work, including repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and rounds, by utilizing maintenance management software, calendars, and crew meetings Assists Maintenance Supervisor with managing schedules, vacations, and related personnel records Holds Team Members accountable for productivity and high-quality work utilizing safe work practices Develops project scopes, budgets, justifications, schedules, and Fixed Asset Requests Installs, maintains, modifies, and upgrades automation and PLC systems, their networks, and equipment Lays out, builds, codes, tests, modifies, installs, and calibrates electrical and electronic systems, prototypes, components, and programs Performs root cause failure analyses to solve problems and prevent recurrences Uses CAD and other engineering software to design equipment, electrical systems, and schematics Responsible for checking function of newly installed equipment and systems to evaluate performance under actual operating conditions Writes job plans, PMs, procedures and technical reports as needed Manages and maintains all calibration documents (CII's) and equipment Monitors and maintains critical electrical and electronic parts inventories Evaluates personnel, recommends training, and makes decisions regarding discipline and terminations Assists with selecting and onboarding personnel to fill open positions Supports Systems Engineer and Software Developers as needed Travels locally, nationally, and internationally to other facilities and conferences as necessary Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company Must have ability and desire to work with others Meets attendance requirements Performs other duties as deemed necessaryEDUCATION
: Technical or Associate Degree in Automation, Electronics or related field, completion of EQS' Electronics Apprentice Program, or a commensurate level of experience and educationEXPERIENCE
: - Minimum (3) three years' experience in electrical/electronic repair and automation Intermediate/Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) equipment and PLC languages required I.T. networking and server hardware experience preferredSUPERVISION
: Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required. Must be safety minded, a good communicator, motivator, and team builder.DRIVING:
