Physical Demands:

The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching, crawling and similar activities. Performance of work may take place in tics, crawlspaces, walls, ceilings, and other limited access spaces, in rough terrain or in construction sites when planning and monitoring the installion of security systems as part of original construction. The work may regularly involve lifting and carrying of light to moderely heavy objects of 50 pounds or less when delivering or installing security devices. The work may require some common characteristics and abilities of physical agility and dexterity to work in confined spaces and to move or lift moderely heavy objects.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in ever changing office, outdoor and industrial work environments in order to keep the security system operional. Regular and recurring modere exposure to risks associed with rain, hot/cold weher, fumes, odors, dust, noise, cuts, bruises, electrical hazards and burns. Work requires routine use of ladders and lift equipment (as high as 25 feet) to troubleshoot, repair or install electronic security system components. Utilizes personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety harness, hearing protection, eye and face protection and gloves. Employee will opere hand tools, be able to solder, complete electrical work, install conduit and network cable. Required to obtain a hot work permit when conducting work th produces sparks/flames.
