Description The Equipment Technician at Globus Medical maintains, supports, and qualifies manufacturing equipment in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and compliance with medical device standards Position Overview Branch Medical Group, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., manufactures spinal and orthopedic implants and their instrumentation cases. The Equipment Technician role combines hands-on maintenance, process support, and engineering assistance to keep manufacturing lines running smoothly and meet regulatory requirements Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Qualification
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Conduct operator qualifications (visual inspection, functional, and destructive testing)
Install and qualify process equipment and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
Process Development & Support
Assist in process characterization, validation testing, and process design/optimization.
Support troubleshooting of ATE and perform root cause analysis
Prepare test samples for routine and operator qualification testing
Fabrication & Tooling
Fabricate fixtures and tooling (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic) for product builds and testing
Documentation & Compliance
Create and maintain accurate documentation (designs, drawings, test methods, processes, troubleshooting guides).
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and regulatory standards
Collaboration & Training
Work with production operators, manufacturing technicians, and engineers.
Train other staff on procedures and product assembly
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience as a manufacturing technician or relevant experience in the medical device industry
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and perform overtime as needed
Proficiency with MS Office; strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred:
basic electronics knowledge, laser welding experience, machine shop tool familiarity, and medical device background Additional Details
