  • Full Time Job Description Provides support for all hospital mechanical equipment and infrastructure.
This includes, but is not limited to, Chillers, Compressors, PTAC units, BAS controls, Medical Air Gas Systems, plumbing fixtures, life safety, and electrical systems. Performs daily rounds to ensure that all building systems are operating properly. Performs preventative maintenance and work orders as assigned. Responds to house calls for all maintenance requests. 1. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson Revised Job Description 2. Assists with the performance of urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems as directed by senior-level staff or supervisor. 3. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system. Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards. HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; Previous related experience preferred HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; Previous related experience preferred 4. Make scheduled rounds of building areas, including the inspection of all lighting fixtures to assure proper function, to identify and resolve regulatory compliance deficiencies. 5. Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies, furniture, replacing light bulbs, trash removal, etc). 6. Assigned to perform other duties in the following areas as directed: air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, painting, plant operations and plumbing. High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of training from a certified technical school or program. A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial building maintenance.
