  • 28 per hour, based on experience Full-Time | In-Person | No Field Service or Customer Home Visits Gloria Horn Sewing Studio is looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to join our in-house service department.
We service modern computerized sewing and embroidery machines that combine precision mechanical components with sophisticated electronics, including circuit boards, motors, sensors, touchscreens, wiring, power supplies, and computerized control systems. Previous sewing machine repair experience is NOT required. We're looking for someone who already has experience troubleshooting and repairing electronics and is interested in applying those skills to a specialized field. We will provide training on sewing and embroidery machines. This Is an In-House Technician Position Unlike many repair and field-service positions, you will not be driving to customers' homes or businesses. Our customers bring their machines directly to us. You'll work from our dedicated service department with a company-provided workspace and tools . You can focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment without spending your day driving between service calls. What You'll Do Diagnose electronic and mechanical problems in computerized sewing and embroidery machines Troubleshoot circuit boards, wiring, connectors, sensors, motors, switches, power supplies, and other electronic components Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service procedures to identify problems Repair or replace defective electronic and mechanical components Diagnose intermittent electrical and electronic issues Perform cleaning, preventative maintenance, lubrication, and mechanical adjustments Test machines after repairs to verify proper operation Document repairs, parts used, and work performed Learn manufacturer-specific diagnostic and service procedures Work with our service team to determine the repairs and parts needed for customer machines What We're Looking For We're particularly interested in candidates with professional experience in: Electronics repair Appliance repair Computer or printer repair Audio/video equipment repair Industrial electronics Electromechanical equipment Electronic equipment service Field service Automotive electrical diagnostics Other electronic or mechanical repair fields The ideal candidate is comfortable using diagnostic tools and has experience systematically troubleshooting electronic equipment. Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, service manuals, or other technical documentation is a plus. You Don't Need to Know How to Sew You do not need sewing experience or previous sewing machine repair experience. We'll teach you the sewing-machine-specific side of the job. We're looking for someone who already understands electronics, troubleshooting, and repair and enjoys figuring out why equipment isn't working. Modern sewing and embroidery machines can include: LCD and touchscreen displays Main control boards Power supply boards Stepper and DC motors Position and safety sensors Encoders Wiring harnesses and connectors USB and wireless connectivity Computer-controlled embroidery systems Precision mechanical drive systems What We Provide $22

We sell and service computerized sewing, quilting, embroidery, serger, and multi-needle embroidery machines from leading manufacturers. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to develop expertise in a specialized repair field while becoming a long-term member of our service department.
