Job Description
Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in State College, Pennsylvania . Overview The Engineering Technician will perform testing related to Reliability, Reprocessing, Biocompatibility, and Chemical Compatibility for ultrasound products. They will support product design and development by working directly with engineers and other technicians. Responsibilities Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies. Follow established written test protocols and document testing details using good documentation practices. Ensure the creation of accurate, complete, and timely records. Operate laboratory test and processing equipment such as reprocessing systems, ovens, cameras, microscopes, robots, scales, vacuum pumps, and other inspection tools. Utilize standard medical industry cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization techniques for ultrasound probes. Perform additional tasks supporting new product development, design improvement, sustaining, and maintenance activities as needed. Qualifications Associate's Degree, or high school diploma with 2 years of technical, manufacturing, or quality experience. Proficiency in understanding and interpreting basic written technical information and instructions. Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing computerized work systems. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate using the local language. Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information. Ability to learn new tasks quickly. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
