Segmentation Specialist Job Description The Segmentation Specialist (Sr Representative) produces high-quality pre-operative surgical plans by transforming CT scans into precise 3D anatomical bone models for use in robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures. This role focuses on accurate case creation, segmentation, and planning while consistently meeting team and department production targets and adhering strictly to established protocols and work instructions. Responsibilities Create new cases using a proprietary case management system, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate. Review CT scans to verify conformity with established surgical protocols and imaging standards. Segment CT scans using specialized software to generate detailed 3D anatomical bone models for robotic surgery. Develop pre-operative surgical plans based on the digital bone models for robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures. Review CT segmentations and surgical plans to confirm accuracy of anatomical landmark selection, implant sizing, and implant positioning. Upload completed pre-operative plans to field-based personnel in a timely and accurate manner. Document all activities and case details according to prescribed methods, procedures, and quality standards. Follow written work instructions exactly to deliver consistent, high-quality output. Maintain a strong focus on individual production to meet or exceed team and department production targets. Apply efficient work methods to manage multiple cases and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or equivalent education such as an Associate's degree or higher. Foundational knowledge in biology, biological science, biomedical engineering, or anatomy. Ability to work with CT scan data and understand basic medical imaging concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and quality focus when reviewing imaging data and surgical plans. Demonstrated customer service orientation. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English for speaking and reading. Ability to view and distinguish between a variety of colors on a computer screen. Visual acuity equivalent to 20/20 vision with or without assistive devices such as prescription glasses or contact lenses. Additional Skills & Qualifications Education or experience in biological science, biomedical engineering, or anatomy. Experience with CAD or other 3D modeling tools, particularly in a medical device context. Experience working with CT scans, X-rays, or MRI images. Proficiency or experience with Salesforce. Experience using Materialise MIMICS or similar medical imaging/segmentation software. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Certifications or related experience in radiology (CT, X-ray, MRI). Certification in nursing or a related healthcare field. Completion of college-level anatomy courses. Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. Comfort working with proprietary case management and specialized software systems. Work Environment This is a fully onsite position at a medical device facility, with three openings available on the first shift to support anticipated growth. The role requires working with computer-based imaging and specialized segmentation software in an office or lab setting. Core hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position is not remote and requires consistent onsite presence. Demand continues to grow, and there is a high need for overtime; in some cases, work weeks exceeding 55 hours are possible, though this is infrequent. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent use of computers, CT imaging data, and digital tools to create 3D anatomical models and pre-operative plans. Visual tasks are central to the role, including distinguishing various colors on a computer screen and working with detailed digital images. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Weston, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
