In this role, you'll stay closely connected to the equipment and teams that keep our facilities running. The Control Engineer (Automation Engineering Advisor) holds advanced responsibility for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of pharmacy automation systems. You'll serve as a technical leader—driving solutions that improve uptime, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Provide troubleshooting, installation, and repair support for automated production equipment, including electrical controls, PLCs, robotics, applications, and data systems.
+ Serve as a technical authority for robot‑ and PLC‑based hardware and software, ensuring system stability and performance. + Diagnose automation issues using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings, schematics, and specialized diagnostic tools. + Lead the planning and implementation of automation enhancements to improve process quality and equipment performance. + Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, functional reviews, and participation in reliability and optimization studies. + Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate, design, and implement new or enhanced automation technologies. + Support operational readiness and disaster recovery efforts by ensuring automation systems can be rapidly restored and stabilized. + Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to Electro‑Mechanical Technicians and fellow Pharmacy Automation Engineers. + Perform root cause analysis using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies and implement sustainable fixes. + Ensure critical spare parts are available by validating inventory and coordinating part ordering. + Contribute to project milestones and ensure automation systems meet performance, reliability, and safety expectations.
  • Required Qualifications
  • + High School diploma. + Minimum of
  • 5 years of experience
  • troubleshooting automated control systems in a production or manufacturing environment, including emergency and corrective maintenance.
+ Advanced electrical troubleshooting expertise. + Hands‑on experience programming and troubleshooting PLC‑based systems. + Proven ability to work effectively during off‑hours, including occasional weekends, to support operational requirements. + Ability to travel up to
