• Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in East Hartford, CT.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. AOA Xinetics (AOX) , a wholly-owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems Business Unit, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. We are seeking a Microelectronics Technician to support our production team.

In this job, you will: Perform assembly, testing and assigned technical manufacturing tasks to meet program requirements. This position will involve assembly and testing of complex electro optic assemblies, optical modules and sub modules containing optical and fiber optic based components with guidance from principle engineers and scientists. Developing and setting up work areas to assemble and test optical module assemblies. Additional duties may include setting up experiments and optical test equipment, conducting tests, and recording data. The position may involve assembly and alignment of mechanical and/or opto-mechanical subassemblies, machining/fabricating parts and some electronic assembly, as well as work process and other documentation. Other duties as assigned This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3. Basic Qualifications for Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years additional education and/or related experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance 3 years' of electrical/electronic work experience including soldering and cable & wire harness assembly within a manufacturing work environment Electronic and optical lab equipment experience including DVM's, power meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes and optical test equipment-build/modify as needed, and test set up Basic machine tool operation experience Good written and verbal communication skills High level of adaptability, multi-tasker, excellent problem solver with experience working in a highly dynamic, with collaborative cross functional teams in an advanced technical work environment Intermediate-Advanced proficiency MS Word and Excel; basic proficiency with PowerPoint Basic Qualifications for Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience. Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range:

$56,000.00

• $93,400.

Secondary Level Salary Range:

$66,600.00

• $111,000.

00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
