Job Description
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Qualifications You Bring:
Experience as a technical expert to diagnose malfunctions to fire control/detection equipment, perform repairs, test and locate defective components. Design and participate in confidence testing of fire and life safety systems, document results. Experience troubleshooting weigh scales, test, and evaluate. Experience programing and troubleshooting electronic gates. Experience working with industrial flares and igniters. Experience in electronic functions of heavy equipment.Competencies You Bring:

SWD Maintenance Facility - 201 SW 34 th Street Renton, WA along with various locations throughout King County, WA. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.Work Schedule:
Typically, M-F 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Schedule can change.Union Representation:

Must be able to work in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather. Lift 50lbs. Work on ladders, scaffolding. Work long hours.Application and Selection Process:
