In this role, you will be responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining advanced home automation and audiovisual systems. Your expertise will ensure clients experience seamless integration of their smart home devices, entertainment systems, and control solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects, deliver exceptional customer service, and grow your career in the rapidly expanding smart home industry. Looking for both entry level and/or experienced technicians. Will offer on the job training. Duties Install and configure home automation systems, including lighting, climate control, security, and audio/video components Program control systems to deliver intuitive user interfaces and automation routines tailored to client needs Troubleshoot equipment issues across a variety of AV and automation devices using diagnostic tools and technical schematics Conduct system testing, calibration, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability Read blueprints to accurately install wiring, cabling, and equipment in residential and commercial environments Collaborate with clients to demonstrate system operation, provide training, and ensure satisfaction with installed solutions Perform field service visits for repairs, upgrades, or troubleshooting of complex AV and automation systems Requirements Proven experience working in the AV or home automation industry with a strong understanding of control system programming (AV systems) Knowledge of electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and low voltage wiring techniques Familiarity with computer networking concepts essential for integrating smart devices and control systems Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across digital signal processing, audio/video components, and software platforms Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently during installations and maintenance tasks Experience working on live event AV production projects or large-scale installations is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Mechanical knowledge related to cabling, mounting hardware, and telecommunication infrastructure is a plus Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams accurately for installation purposes Join us as a Home Automation Technician if you're passionate about innovative technology solutions!
