Duties Help Responsible for the accure interpretion of numerous manufacturer drawings, specificions, opering instructions, and test procedures, to troubleshoot, calibre, align and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment. Does circuit analyses, considers integred circuit relionships, and applies electronic principles in order to fault-isole and repair the various digital devices contained in highly complex powered support equipment. Conducts classes to train maintenance personnel in operions, test procedures, and troubleshooting requirements of highly complex powered support equipment. Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and adjustments on complex rotary diesel engines. Must independently determine work sequences, specificions, and special procedures to be used to fault-isole and repair unusual problems in various pieces of powered support equipment. Engine rebuilding such as removal and replacement of crankshafts, pistons, and other integral parts. Replaces, checks and adjusts valves, bearings, cams, clutches, bushings, springs, armures, pushrods, exhaust manifolds, tubing, hose and defective wiring. Performs required TCTOs and other modificions on powered support equipment. Performs inspections, calibrion and repair on test and shop equipment. Performs maintenance da collection, and prepares other required forms. Maintains Technical Orders, Technical Order Files, commercial technical publicions and other directives pertinent to the section. Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluion such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. This is an Excepted Service position th requires military assignment in the 143 Maintenance Squadron of the Rhode Island Air Nional Guard (RIANG), required prior to the effective de of placement. Experience or training which demonstres the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrions, diagrams and schemics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: 18 months Specialized Experience or training removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories. Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operion of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelionships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schemics.
