Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance. This role involves working with various precision measuring instruments and requires the ability to read and interpret schematics. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of instrumentation systems and equipment in our facility. Duties Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electronic and instrumentation equipment, utilizing voltmeters and other diagnostic tools. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand system requirements and implement necessary modifications. Install, calibrate, and maintain precision measuring instruments in compliance with industry standards. Provide field service support, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on equipment. Assist in the training of junior technicians on best practices for instrumentation maintenance. Experience Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role in an industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with a background as an industrial electrician preferred. Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems is highly desirable. Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to instrumentation. Experience using precision measuring instruments and troubleshooting techniques to detect faults in equipment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Military experience related to instrumentation or electronics is a plus.
