Job Description

Service Technician - Building Automation Systems (Client Opportunity)We are supporting a leading building automation organization in their search for a Service Technician to deliver high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, and system optimization services across client sites. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong DDC and HVAC expertise who enjoys working independently while maintaining close client interaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesService & MaintenancePerform preventative maintenance on building automation systems, including database backups, system diagnostics, and performance analysisConduct network optimization and evaluate central equipment control performanceExecute service-based project work in line with customer requirementsTroubleshooting & RepairsDiagnose and resolve issues across DDC control and HVAC systemsReplace and commission failed components as neededSupport system startups, programming, and fine-tuning of controlsSystem Analysis & OptimizationAssess building control performance and recommend improvementsEnsure systems operate efficiently and according to design intentClient Engagement & CoordinationAct as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and installersMaintain consistent communication with supervisors, coordinators, account managers, and customersDeliver customer training and provide ongoing technical supportOperational ResponsibilitiesParticipate in an on-call schedule as requiredMaintain accurate and timely documentation of all service activitiesCandidate ProfileKey Skills & ExperienceStrong knowledge of HVAC systems and DDC control theoryExperience programming and supporting platforms such as Alerton, Distech, or TridiumSolid understanding of electronics and basic electrical circuitsProven troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilitiesProficiency with computer hardware and software systemsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication and interpersonal skillsQualificationsAssociate degree in applied technology (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in HVAC and/or mechanical systemsBackground in programming and controls systemsDemonstrated troubleshooting experienceAbout the OpportunityThis role offers the chance to work with an established provider delivering advanced building automation solutions, with a strong focus on technical development, customer engagement, and long-term career growth.
