Wire Harness Assembler Job Description We are seeking a skilled Wire Harness Assembler to join our team and contribute to the creation and improvement of wire harnesses for new products. This role involves building wire harnesses, developing standard operating procedures, and collaborating with the development team to enhance process efficiencies. Responsibilities Assemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors. Follow technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire. Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality and ensure adherence to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers and quantities. Maintain an inventory of various parts and tools used in the assembling process. Assemble electrical components and conduct tests or experiments as needed. Work closely with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals. Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Essential Skills Experience in building wire harnesses. Proficiency in wire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping/stripping wire. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Experience using a multi-meter. Familiarity with radio frequency concepts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous avionics or military experience (electronics technicians) is beneficial. Understanding of NEC or ESD standards. U.S. citizenship is required. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is climate-controlled and very clean, offering a comfortable working environment. The role operates on a small team of 10 technicians, with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Occasional overtime is expected, with a manageable workload. The team consists of 10 technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
