Hour Day Shift Job Purpose:
The Maintenance Calibration Technician is responsible for managing site calibration program in accordance with QFS standards. This includes conducting internal calibration, planning and scheduling external calibrations, repairing/replacing equipment as necessary to correct deficiencies, and maintaining documentation for calibration audit. Additional responsibilities includer troubleshooting various competencies including Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process, Packaging, and Facilities Equipment with minimal guidance. As a Team, properly maintain and repair equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment, while prioritizing multiple mechanical/electrical and administrative tasks. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Relevant Technical Degree/Relevant Trade CertificationOR 2 years of work experience related to industrial maintenance. Previous experience/knowledge with measuring and calibration of equipment. Possess an understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems with equipment. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs. Willingness to develop required technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology.
Technical/Trade Certification in:
Certified Calibration Services, Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication and/or blueprint interpretation. Understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings. PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.) Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping. Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment. Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms. What will be your key responsibilities? Understand and implement calibration on defined instrumentation (Probes, Scales, Load Cells, etc). Capable of troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances. Schedule and monitor contracted calibrations. Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on relevant equipment. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on equipment with minimal guidance. Document Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance). Demonstrate Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA's). Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.
