Internal Candidate Eligibility Criteria:
1. Is a Lincoln Electric employee with at least 1 year of service 2. Is NOT on an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) Job Requirements High school or GED Vocational High School or Technical College or Equivalent Experience. 2-3 years' workable experience as a Robot Technician RIA certified (Basic robot technician) Intermediate robot knowledge of 1 type of robot and at least 1 type of welder. (Lincoln Power supply recommended) Job Responsibilities Perform cut & etch on welded parts Shim weld tooling Understanding blueprint/assembly print reading. Building and disassemble weld cells Basic Pneumatic skills Basic Machining MIG welding Adjusting sensors (advance and retract based on HMI) Touching up 1 to 2 Robot types Basic Robot programing Reading weld prints Basic understanding of HMI and PLC interaction with robots and cell functions. Basic troubleshooting skills for robot issues and electrical issues. (wire stick, minor alarms, blown fuses and sensor issues on tooling.) Capable sending individuals on the road to finish open issue lists and install tooling changes using prints and work together with controls group to finish jobs abroad without supervision. Basic programming of material handling and spot-welding robots using grippers and spot guns. Capable of shimming tools to customer gages and can interpret CMM data to make adjustments to tooling. Maintain a skills inventory score indicative of a level II or higher technician Willing to travel up to 40% of the time to customer sites Maintain a skills inventory score indicative of a level I or higher technician Essential skills and experience: Basic understanding of mechanical components (metric and standard fasteners, socket head cap screws, button head, hex head, flat head and dowel pins) Basic understanding of electrical components, basic use of a volt meter to check for AC voltage and DC voltage.
