Job Description

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of media equipment used throughout production, including VCRs, camcorders, film transfer units, scanners, printers, and related systems. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with equipment, and helping keep production running efficiently.

VCR Repair Technician:
Diagnose and repair equipment issues quickly and accurately Refurbish VCRs, camcorders, scanners, printers, and other production equipment Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and workstations Conduct quality control checks before equipment is returned to production Help ensure production teams have the equipment needed to meet operational goals Track repairs, maintenance schedules, and workflow priorities Communicate equipment trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement Support process improvements related to equipment reliability and efficiency Analyze repair trends and identify opportunities to improve workflow and service quality Assist team members with troubleshooting and technical support as needed Follow safety procedures and proper chemical handling protocols Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned What a
Typical Day Looks Like:
Troubleshoot malfunctioning VCRs and production equipment Repair or replace worn or damaged components Test equipment functionality and quality before deployment Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks Organize tools, parts, and repair inventory Support production by resolving equipment issues quickly Track repair progress and document recurring issues or trends Work closely with the refurbishment and production teams throughout the day You'll Likely Do Well in

Repaired electronics, media equipment, or machinery Worked in a manufacturing, refurbishment, or technical repair environment Used diagnostic tools and troubleshooting software Worked with powered and non-powered tools regularly Followed detailed processes and maintenance procedures Balanced multiple repairs or projects at the same time

Technical Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with Mac OS X and Windows 10 Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment Familiarity with audio/video systems and media hardware Experience using powered and non-powered tools Comfortable with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and tracking systems Ability to follow chemical handling and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience repairing electronics or media equipment preferred Manufacturing, refurbishment, or production experience preferred A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Software Development, Manufacturing, or a related field is a plus Previous Legacybox production experience is a plus Who is
