Job Description

Althea is looking for a Parts Repair Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our repair and testing department. This position is responsible for supervising assembly, repair, and test technicians, managing daily workflow, supporting component-level troubleshooting, maintaining repair quality, and ensuring parts move efficiently throughout the operation.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily work for repair technicians, test technicians, and support personnel. Assign repair, test, build, and replenishment work based on department priorities. Monitor repair and testing queues to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Provide hands-on technical support for troubleshooting, repair, and testing issues. Review repair notes, test results, work order status, and documentation for accuracy. Help prioritize parts based on inventory needs, warranty requirements, customer demand, and production goals. Support component-level repair of electronic assemblies, cables, medical imaging parts, and related products. Ensure repaired parts are properly tested, labeled, documented, and moved to the correct inventory location. Train and coach technicians on repair procedures, testing requirements, quality expectations, and company workflows. Maintain accountability for workstation cleanliness, documentation discipline, and process compliance. Support quality requirements, ESD-safe work practices, RoHS/non-RoHS segregation, and traceability standards. Assist with warranty investigations, failure analysis, and repair history review. Identify workflow bottlenecks and help implement process improvements. Help develop and improve repair procedures, test procedures, work instructions, and production workflows. Coordinate with inventory, sourcing, sales, quality, and management to support product availability. Ensure stock levels are adequate to meet customer demand - this will involve strengthening supply chain, working alongside external manufacturers to develop plastic components or custom electronics components, and working with the purchasing team to ensure non-serviceable parts are in stock. Required Qualifications Experience in electronics repair, production, manufacturing, depot repair, biomedical repair, or a related technical field. Prior experience leading, supervising, training, or assigning work to technicians. Strong understanding of electronic troubleshooting, soldering, testing, and component-level repair. Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work instructions, repair procedures, and test procedures. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once. Strong written documentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly with technicians, management, inventory, sourcing, quality, and sales teams. Comfortable working in ERP, inventory, repair tracking, or manufacturing software systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP/MRP system. Experience in medical device, medical imaging, electronics manufacturing, depot repair, or regulated repair environments. IPC certification or working knowledge of IPC standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or
IPC-7711/7721.
Experience with ESD controls, RoHS material segregation, ISO 13485, or other quality management systems. Experience creating or improving repair procedures, test procedures, work instructions, or quality control points. Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, soldering stations, desoldering tools, thermal cameras, and other electronic test equipment. Experience with PCB repair, cable assembly, SMT rework, through-hole soldering, and electronic troubleshooting. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has hands-on electronics repair experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a small technical team in a fast-paced repair environment. This role requires someone who can balance daily production needs with quality, documentation, technician support, and process improvement. This person should be comfortable working directly with technicians while also managing workflow, production priorities, inventory needs, and process improvements. A strong candidate does not need to know every product on day one, but must be technically capable, organized, accountable, and willing to learn complex repair and testing processes. Work Environment This position works in a repair, testing, and production warehouse environment. The role may require time at repair benches, test stations, inventory areas, production staging areas, and technician workstations. The supervisor should be comfortable working around electronic equipment, repair tools, test fixtures, soldering equipment, and production parts.
