Required Skills:
TDOT Certifications
•any of the following: TDOT Aggregate Technician Certification TDOT Asphalt Certified Roadway Technician Certification TDOT Certified Concrete Field Technician Certification TDOT Nuclear Gauge Field Technician Certification Additional Skills (not required): Materials testing experience ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
•Grade I Certification ICC, NICET, AWS, CAW, ANST, VT, MT, PT, RT, or UT certifications TDOT Asphalt Concrete Certified Plant Technician Certification Construction or earthwork experience Degree in Geology, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
Responsibilities:
Performing various construction materials tests during active construction and roadway projects Sampling and testing concrete and reporting results to contractors Collecting soil samples for laboratory testing Performing pin and plate and nuclear density testing on road materials Performing asphalt density testing Inspecting rebar and site conditions prior to concrete placement for safety and compliance #
