Temp Fiber Optic Cable Assembly Termination Operator Join a Precision Manufacturing Team We are seeking a detail-oriented Fiber Optic Cable Assembly Termination Operator to join our growing production team. This position plays a critical role in the assembly and termination of high-performance fiber optic cable assemblies used in advanced technology applications. Key Responsibilities Perform fiber optic cable termination processes including stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and assembly preparation. Mix, prepare, and apply epoxy used in fiber optic termination operations. Complete crimping and epoxy curing procedures according to established work instructions. Read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct visual inspections of assemblies throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain accurate production records, lot tracking information, serial number documentation, and other traceability requirements. Label and document finished products in accordance with quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Shipping teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations. Adhere to all company safety, quality, and environmental policies, including proper use of PPE. Qualifications Required Skills & Abilities Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with delicate fiber optic components. Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to distinguish color-coded fibers and components. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Experience Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience working with fiber optic assemblies, electronics, or other precision manufacturing processes is a plus. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Clean work areas with ESD and controlled production requirements. Frequent standing, walking, and workstation-based assembly work. Close collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required. Physical Requirements Ability to work with microscopes and small precision components. Strong hand-eye coordination for handling fragile glass fibers. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and detailed assembly tasks.
