Job Description

## Standard Job Description Install, modify, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. Test, calibrate, trouble shoot and make necessary repairs on equipment such as, but not limited to: computer numerical control (CNC), programmable logic control (PLC), programmable automation control, robotics and associated electrical components as used on production machines, research and development machines and facilities buildings. Able to work with tight mechanical tolerances and machine tool programming language, schematics, wiring diagrams, performance specifications, and service manuals, etc. Perform preventative maintenance and repair of
CNC, PLC
machine controls and automated control systems. Use a variety of linear and rotary calibrating equipment such as lasers and ball bars. Use various types of test equipment, including laptops to diagnose and repair equipment. Perform both complex and routine diagnostics for troubleshooting electrical issues, utilizing wiring schematics, drawings, diagrams and service manuals, etc. Aid, assist and/or train CNC Electrical Technicians B, as required. Perform the work of CNC Electrical Technicians B, as required. Perform related incidental but necessary operations in the completion of the above duties. Keep own work area clean and orderly. Refer all unusual problems to lead or supervisor. ## Basic Qualifications Proficient with electrical/electronic components of computer numeric control (CNC) equipment, programmable logic control (PLC) equipment and demonstrate a firm understanding and knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic operations of the machines. Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Electrical Code as it pertains to machine tools and associated equipment. Three (3) years working with CNC and PLC machines and components. Must be a US Citizen as this role requires special access. ## Desired Skills Pay Information
