We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Calibration Metrologist to join our Toronto team. This is a hands-on technical role for a strong metrology professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working directly with sophisticated instrumentation, and contributing to a growing technical organization. The Senior Calibration Technician will play a key technical role in our laboratory operations, supporting calibration, troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, procedure development, and customer technical support. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, technically strong, comfortable with complex instrumentation, and capable of independently handling challenging technical work while supporting broader team success. Repair experience is a strong asset. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Perform calibration, verification, adjustment, and troubleshooting of test & measurement equipment across a broad range of disciplines. Handle more technically complex calibration projects independently. Develop, improve, and document calibration procedures and technical methods. Support ISO 17025
quality and technical compliance activities. Create accurate calibration certificates, records, and technical documentation. Assist in troubleshooting unusual measurement issues and customer escalations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff as needed. Support technical evaluation of customer requirements, including calibration feasibility and scope. Participate in onsite calibration work when required. Support continuous improvement of lab workflows, processes, automation, and technical capability Assist with audit readiness and accreditation maintenance. Collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams on technical inquiries where needed. Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology, Engineering, Physics, Metrology, or related technical discipline. 5+ years (preferably 8-15+) hands-on calibration experience. Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals, measurement uncertainty, traceability, and calibration best practices. Experience in ISO 17025
laboratory environments strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. Repair experience is a strong asset. Experience with calibration automation software (MET/CAL, SureCAL, LabVIEW, or similar) is an asset. RF calibration experience is an asset. High voltage testing experience is an asset. Strong communication skills and professional customer interaction ability. Ability to work independently with high ownership and sound judgment. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
