Job Description

Calibration Technician - Second Shift Erdos Miller is a long-term focused company seeking a Calibration Technician to initialize, calibrate and functionally test Measurement While Drilling (MWD) tools for the oil and gas industry. Hone your technical skills on new, fun, and challenging projects. Expect to grow as a Calibration Technician and as a person. Expect excellent pay and benefits. After initial training, you can expect to: Work a Second Shift schedule. Proficiently follow work instructions for calibrating MWD tools and document the progress on work order travelers. Identify out-of-spec data when compared to internal standards. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Proficiently use all job-related software and computer programs such as MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, Jira and Smartsheet. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing, calibration, and testing areas of the company. Communicate with other team members when experiencing any work-related equipment, controls or systems have issues which disrupt the manufacturing calibration or testing processes. Ensure that work-in-progress work orders are staged and organized efficiently in the work area. Be cross trained in other manufacturing processes such as functional and ring out testing, thermal testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) testing.
Preferred Skills or Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge and experience in handling mechanical and electrical assemblies. Experience with software/computer-based test equipment MUST be able to stand for up to 9 hours per day Good manual dexterity Ability to work weekends as needed Willingness to work night shifts as needed Effective communication
