In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and instrumentation systems across our manufacturing and processing facilities. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of equipment, enhance safety standards, and support continuous production efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems, including sensors, control panels, and industrial controls. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Troubleshoot equipment failures involving hydraulics, pneumatic systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and vision inspection systems. Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults in low voltage electrical systems, sensors, and electrical instrumentation. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings to support installation and repair activities. Support calibration activities for precision measuring instruments and sensors to ensure optimal system performance. Collaborate with engineering teams on programming in engineering environments like Calypso or similar platforms for automation projects. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment. Assist with field service tasks at various sites, providing technical support to customers when needed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and system modifications. Experience Proven experience as an industrial electrician or instrumentation technician within manufacturing or processing environments. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLCs, DCS, sensors, actuators, and low voltage electrical systems. Hands-on experience reading schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, and electrical wiring diagrams. Familiarity with calibration procedures for electrical instrumentation and the use of precision measuring instruments. Experience troubleshooting equipment issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical components, and electronic controls. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and compliance standards applicable to industrial settings. Ability to perform programming in engineering environments such as Calypso or similar automation software is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting techniques in complex systems. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
