Test Technician Contract | 12 months | 2 positions on-site McKinney, TX, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM-11:30 PM), 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off) $28.50/hr | Weekend work as needed | No clearance required About the Role You'll support acceptance testing on both production and prototype products within the Advanced Product Center. Working directly with engineering, you'll troubleshoot, test, and keep product moving through a fast-paced manufacturing floor on second shift. What You'll Do Fault-isolate issues across test stations, interface adapters, cables, and devices under test Select, set up, and operate test equipment per specifications Interpret test data — plots, graphs, tabulated parameters — to determine pass/fail and escalate when needed Observe, analyze, and report test results Support production troubleshooting alongside engineering Use hand tools, torque tools, analyzers, and power tools in a manufacturing environment What You'll Bring Must-Have Associate degree (or equivalent 2-year training) or 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer/network tools Ability to execute product testing from procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions with limited supervision Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in a production environment Nice-to-Have 2+ years of dedicated testing experience (STEM coursework may substitute) Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, pulse generators, network analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters Background in manufacturing, assembly, aviation, or naval environments Familiarity with VM, CMES, SAP, or similar manufacturing automation tools What We Offer Competitive hourly rate at $28.50/hr with a predictable 9/80 schedule Direct collaboration with engineering — not a siloed bench role A path to full-time benefits upon conversion to
