Job Description
Antenna Products, a 79 year old Mineral Wells based industry leading antenna manufacturer has an immediate opening for a full-time electronics technician. This is a fast paced position that requires attention to detail and the ability to learn and master a variety of tools and skills. You will be working under the direct supervision of your foreman. You will need to be reliable and punctual. Antenna Products is growing rapidly. Opportunities for advancement and training for specialized positions exist for the right person.
SUMMARY:
The Electronics Technician will work closely with our production, quality and project delivery teams to accurately perform high-quality assembly of parts in our facility supporting projects demanding exceptional craftsmanship and quality. The candidate must be willing and eager to work in an ISO-9001compliant small company and in a fast-paced environment where each employee wears multiple hats and fully embraces the get-it-done attitude. The position will report directly to the department supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
include, but not limited to:- Positioning parts for assembly by following engineering drawings.
- Working directly with products and equipment using radio frequencies (RF) so familiarization of electrical properties and RF knowledge is a must.
- Investigate and resolve problems as reported by the customer.
- Understanding wiring diagrams and ability to work on live electrical circuits for testing and troubleshooting.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, adhesives, or other fasteners.
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand file and scrappers to produce a close fit between parts.
- Operate drill presses, riveting machines, and forklifts.
- Install rivnuts and threaded inserts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Repair and evaluate incoming products.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or
GED, 1-3
years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education or experience- Ability to use a suite of power and hand tools inclusive of ability to solder components
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, safety and procedures furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings
- Capable of solving practical problems and dealing with variables in real time
- Have good attention to detail, work independently and be a quick learner.
PHYSICAL
DEMANDS andWORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Work within a production environment capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).
- Occasionally work outside and exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Frequently must bend, reach and stoop
- Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
