Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix/PLC-5, VFDs, HMIs, drives, motors, sensors, and electrical systems.
Diagnose electrical, instrumentation, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
Support production and maintenance teams in resolving equipment downtime and controls issues.
Identify and implement automation, reliability, and process improvements.
Assist with equipment upgrades, startups, and small projects.
Work with vendors to troubleshoot equipment and maximize uptime.
Provide technical guidance and training to facility personnel.
Respond to emergency controls issues as needed. Qualifications4+ years of controls/automation experience required, 5+ years preferred.1+ year of manufacturing or industrial experience required.
Strong experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and automation systems.
Experience with ControlLogix and/or PLC-5, VFDs, HMIs, AC/DC drives, motor controls, and instrumentation.
Experience troubleshooting high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and support a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations when needed.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; Sponsorship can't be provided now or in the future.
An Associate's degree in Industrial Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Automation, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Day shift with flexibility based on production needs; on-call availability required for emergency support. Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Controls & Automation Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity in New Boston, TX. This position requires 4+ years of controls and automation experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience applying these skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This is a hands-on technical role, not a people-management position. You'll serve as the facility's key controls & automation resource, troubleshooting & improving PLCs, electrical systems, drives, instrumentation, and automated equipment. A bachelor's degree is NOT required.
