Flowback Recertification Shop Technician Circle M Energy Services Odessa, TX Job Details Full-time $17 - $21 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid training AD&D insurance Health insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Life insurance Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) use Outdoor work Oil & gas Forklift High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Safety equipment Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Summary The Flowback Recertification Shop Technician is responsible for the inspection, disassembly, repair, recertification, testing, and maintenance of flowback equipment used in oil and gas operations. This position ensures all equipment meets company, customer, and industry standards for safety, performance, and reliability before being returned to service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect incoming flowback equipment for wear, damage, and operational deficiencies. Disassemble, clean, and rebuild flowback equipment including: Plug valves, check valves, manifolds, plug catchers, flow iron, chokes, tees and crosses, pup joints and pressure control equipment. Perform dimensional inspections and verify equipment against OEM specifications. conduct hydrostatic pressure testing and document results. Identify components requiring repair or replacement. Perform recertification procedures according to company and industry standards. Maintain accurate inspection, repair, and test records. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pressure testing equipment, and shop tools safely. Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Assist with inventory control and parts management. Support field operations with equipment preparation and troubleshooting as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in oilfield service equipment repair, flowback operations, or mechanical maintenance preferred. Knowledge of flowback equipment and pressure control components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, repair procedures, and specifications. Experience with hydrostatic testing and recertification processes preferred. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools. Forklift Experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when required. Must be capable of wearing required PPE, including steel-toed boots, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Commitment to workplace safety and compliance. Preferred Experience 2+ years of experience in flowback, well testing, pressure control equipment repair, or oilfield service operations. Experience with API standards and pressure testing procedures. Familiarity with equipment recertification documentation and quality control processes.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, with overtime and occasional weekend work as required by operational demands.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
