Job Description
Express Lube & Car Care in Plano is looking for an experienced Master Automotive Technician (A-Level Mechanic) to join our growing team. We are seeking a highly skilled professional who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and outstanding workmanship. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, transmission, electrical, drivability, and emissions systems. Complete engine replacements, engine rebuilds, and major engine repairs. Replace timing belts, timing chains, water pumps, and related components. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, modules, charging systems, and starting systems. Perform transmission replacements and major drivetrain repairs. Diagnose and repair check engine lights, misfires, overheating concerns, oil leaks, and other complex mechanical issues. Service brake systems, suspension, steering, HVAC, cooling systems, and fuel systems. Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with photos, videos, and detailed repair recommendations. Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure repairs are completed correctly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist and mentor apprentice and B-Level technicians when needed. Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and all safety guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience. Strong diagnostic skills with domestic and import vehicles. Extensive knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical, and drivability systems. Proficiency using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and modern diagnostic equipment. ASE Certifications preferred (Master Technician is a plus). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience using AutoLeap, ALLDATA, ProDemand, or Identifix. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Experience working in a high-volume, full-service automotive repair facility. Ability to efficiently prioritize work while maintaining exceptional quality. Why Join Express Lube & Car Care?
