Weekends on an as needed basis. Core Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical equipment throughout the facility. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems. Install, test, and commission field instrumentation and associated electrical components. Diagnose and resolve issues involving transmitters, sensors, valves, analyzers, and control devices. Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. Support plant operations by responding to equipment failures and minimizing downtime. Perform instrument calibrations and verify proper system operation. Follow all site safety procedures, permit requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. ‍ Essential Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years of experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician in an industrial, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, or manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid TWIC card required. ‍ Physical Requirements Stand, walk for long periods of time Will talk and hear to communicate. Use arms and hands to signal, reach for, handle or manipulate objects, materials, and tools. Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial shop conditions Must be able to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs, ladders, See well (naturally or with correction) Eye-hand coordination Good physical fitness Good sense of balance ‍ Tool Requirements Employees are required to utilize their own tools. A detailed tool list will be provided during processing. ‍ Environment Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical outdoor construction setting, which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat, wetness and humidity, elevated noise levels above 89 decibels, and work in cramped quarters. Employees may work at elevated heights, climb stairs and ladders, and perform physical manipulation of tools and heavy equipment. This job demands the use of standard construction personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment, including hearing protection, as needed.
