English | Bilingual (preferred) The Automation Technician will be responsible for the support of the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial automation, basic PLC knowledge, and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated machinery and control systems. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Assist with PLC troubleshooting and minor programming adjustments. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment. Support production teams by minimizing downtime and improving system efficiency. Monitor equipment performance and recommend process improvements. Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for upgrades or modifications. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in industrial automation, or related field. Basic knowledge of PLC's. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience with troubleshooting sensors, motors, drives, and control panels. Familiarity with HMIs and automated control systems. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Knowledge of robotics or automated assembly systems. Understanding of safety standards (LOTO, OSHA guidelines).
Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Education/Experience:
Technical degree or certification in Mechatronics, Automation, or Industrial Maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing floor. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching. Ability to respond quickly to equipment issues and emergency situations.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a climate-controlled warehouse and production environment. Frequent interaction with automated equipment, production lines, and warehouse operations. Exposure to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems requiring strict adherence to safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, OSHA).

$20.00 - $29.00 per hour
