Impact:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician / Technical Specialist with a broad range of technical expertise—from interpreting electrical diagrams and troubleshooting equipment to building control cabinets and leading small projects. This is a dynamic role where you'll handle everything from basic installations to advanced system builds while maintaining rigorous safety standards and effective communication with team members and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Proficiency:
Read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams. Understand basic network topology and control panel layout. Use hand and power tools safely and complete required safety forms consistently. Operate frac equipment and use diagnostic tools such as multimeters. Mount sensors with minimal supervision.
Troubleshooting & Configuration:
Troubleshoot magnetic induction sensors and VFD operations independently. Conduct equipment inspections and resolve issues with PLC I/O, breakers, contactors, and relays. Identify and diagnose control software issues. Change and assign IP addresses to devices. Configure Mesh antennas and set up/troubleshoot point-to-point antennas. Set up HMIs with correct job and well details. Access and diagnose issues in remote locations.
Systems Building & Leadership:
Build and install full control cabinets, including 480VAC distribution cabinets and VFD Cabinets, without supervision. Oversee small group projects while assisting fellow technicians with remote troubleshooting and solution recommendations. Communicate and coordinate effectively with third-party contractors and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in reading technical diagrams, troubleshooting sensor and control systems, and performing installations in industrial environments. Strong safety orientation and adherence to established protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and external vendors. Proven ability to work independently, manage projects, and lead small teams when required.
