đ Fiber Splicing Technician - Temple TTX Site â $40-$45/hr + $110/day Per Diem We are seeking five highly skilled Fiber Splicing Technicians to support our TTX operations in Temple, TX. These technicians will perform advanced fusion splicing on reducedâdiameter fiber (200”m & 250”m), highâstrandâcount cables, and ribbon fiber. This role requires precision, consistency, and the ability to deliver lowâloss splicing results in a fastâpaced telecom environment. Technicians will work across field and shop environments performing splicing, testing, documentation, and quality verification. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively while maintaining strict adherence to safety and industry standards. đ§ Skills & Responsibilities Advanced Fusion Splicing of 200”m & 250”m fiber Mass Fusion (Ribbon) Splicing with consistent lowâloss results SingleâFiber Precision Splicing for looseâtube and highâstrandâcount cables Perform fiber prep, cleaning, cleaving, and splice protection Execute splice case installation, fiber routing, and tray organization Conduct OTDR, power meter, and lightâsource testing Read and interpret splice diagrams, fiber maps, and engineering prints Complete documentation, labeling, and quality control logs Troubleshoot fiber issues and perform corrective repairs Collaborate with construction, engineering, and QA teams đŻ Required Skills & Qualifications Proven ability to perform mass fusion ribbon splicing Experience with highâstrandâcount fiber and reducedâdiameter fiber Ability to achieve lowâloss splice results consistently Proficiency with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment Ability to read fiber schematics, splice plans, and engineering prints Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally Ability to work in outdoor/field environments as needed Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Temple, TX.
