OVERVIEW
Electrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) is a new, state-of-the-art beverage manufacturing facility in Waco, TX. The 640,000 sqft. Facility is situated in the Texas Central Industrial Park and will be operating on a 24/7 schedule. The facility will manufacture and distribute the 26 flavors of Electrolit™ - the fastest growing isotonic hydration beverage in the
US. POSITION SUMMARY
The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing automated material-handling and production systems. The role supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, conveyors, E80 LGV systems, battery charging stations, pallet conveyor systems, and associated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control components. Working closely with the Embedded Automation Engineer, the technician will progressively develop the technical expertise required to assume increased ownership of the maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the E80 LGV fleet, including Rear Wheel Drive, Pantograph, and Reach vehicle models. The position requires a strong combination of electrical, automation, and mechanical maintenance skills to maximize equipment availability, system performance, and operational efficiency. This position is intended to serve as the primary backup and succession role for the Embedded Automation Engineer, with the expectation that the technician will progressively assume increased responsibility for the maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the E80 LGV fleet, charging infrastructure, and pallet conveyor systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment, electrical systems, PLC controls, robotics, conveyors, and automated materialhandling systems. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations while minimizing downtime. Complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and availability. Mechanical Systems Maintenance Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical components including drive assemblies, wheel systems, bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, couplings, belts, and conveyor components. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of LGV mechanical systems including steering mechanisms, drive units, loadhandling devices, pantographs, reach mechanisms, hydraulic lift systems, and structural assemblies. Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems used in automated materialhandling equipment. Perform alignment, adjustment, lubrication, and calibration of mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Inspect equipment for wear, vibration, misalignment, and mechanical degradation, implementing corrective actions before failures occur. Support installation, rebuild, and replacement of motors, gearboxes, actuators, and other critical mechanical assemblies. Automation System Support Support, maintain, and troubleshoot E80 LGV systems including Rear Wheel Drive, Hydraulic Lift, Pantograph, and Reach vehicle models, battery charging systems, navigation equipment, safety devices, fleetmanagement software, drive motors, hydraulic systems, and loadhandling mechanisms. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on LGV mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure maximum fleet availability and performance. Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, drives, VFDs, industrial networks, and control panels. Assist with equipment commissioning, system upgrades, software updates, and validation activities. Coordinate with automation vendors and technical support teams when advanced troubleshooting is required. Assist in managing critical spare parts inventory for LGVs, battery chargers, conveyor systems, and associated automation equipment. Reliability and Continuous Improvement Analyze equipment performance and maintenance history to improve reliability and reduce repeat failures. Participate in continuous improvement, Kaizen, and costreduction initiatives. Develop and improve preventivemaintenance tasks, inspection standards, and predictivemaintenance practices. Recommend equipment modifications that improve safety, throughput, maintainability, and equipment life. Support reliabilitycentered maintenance initiatives for LGVs, conveyor systems, and automated materialhandling equipment. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, parts usage, and equipment history in the designated system. Create and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, inspection checklists, and troubleshooting guides. Follow company safety requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, electricalsafety practices, and applicable regulatory standards. Support safety, maintenance, and compliance audits. Maintain accurate documentation of LGV maintenance activities, software updates, component replacements, and system modifications. Operational and Technical Support Provide technical support to warehouse and production personnel during normal operations and equipment interruptions. Serve as a technical liaison among operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and equipment vendors. Communicate equipment condition, repair status, operational risks, and recommend followup actions clearly and promptly. Provide practical coaching to equipment users on proper operation, basic fault recognition, and escalation expectations.

Job performance will be assessed using measurable metrics, which may include but are not limited to: Production output and throughput targets. Accuracy and quality rates. Adherence to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards. Equipment uptime, utilization, and operational efficiency. Ontime completion and schedule adherence. Participation in and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation, intralogistics, manufacturing, warehouse automation, or industrialequipment environments. Experience maintaining industrial mechanical systems including conveyors, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, bearings, drive assemblies, and automated materialhandling equipment. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problemsolving skills. Experience in customerfacing or operationalsupport technical roles. Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and equipment documentation. Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO). Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical powertransmission components, and industrial maintenance best practices. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems involving electrical controls, mechanical components, and automation equipment. Experience with batterycharging systems, industrial mobile equipment, and automated guided vehicles is preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and oncall support when required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment within a beverage manufacturing facility. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, automated and manual production equipment, wet or humid conditions, temperature variations, and moderate to high noise levels. Employees may be required to work on elevated work surfaces, platforms, ladders, or stairs, and in or around confined or restricted spaces in accordance with applicable safety procedures and training. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn at all times while on the production floor or in designated work areas, in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, balance, push, pull, and use hands and arms to operate machinery, tools, and equipment. The role involves repetitive motions, sustained physical activity, and maintaining situational awareness in a dynamic production environment. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Work schedules may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and/or holidays based on production demands.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to comfortably use ladders and step stools.
