We are seeking a hands-on UAS Electrical Engineering Technician to support the development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems used in next-generation drone platforms. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building, debugging, and improving complex electromechanical systems in a fast-paced R D environment. Position Summary The UAS Electrical Engineering Technician supports the design and development of unmanned aircraft systems by assembling, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting prototype and production-intent electrical systems. Working closely with electrical, software, mechanical, and systems engineers, this individual will play a key role in bringing new drone technologies from concept through validation. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, enjoys hands-on technical work, and has strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, and integrated systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Electrical Assembly and Integration Assemble and solder circuit boards, wire harnesses, connectors, and electrical subassemblies to engineering specifications. Integrate avionics, sensors, radios, payloads, batteries, power systems, and other electrical hardware into UAS platforms. Build prototype electrical systems and assist in the development of new aircraft configurations. Install, configure, and verify operation of flight controllers, telemetry systems, communications equipment, and mission electronics. Assemble and test lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery systems. Teledyne Confidential; Commercially Sensitive Business Data Testing and Validation Conduct functional testing of circuit boards, electrical assemblies, and integrated systems using engineering procedures. Perform incoming inspections of electrical components and assemblies in accordance with applicable standards. Execute validation tests on prototype hardware, electrical subsystems, and new product designs. Utilize custom test fixtures and automated test equipment to verify functionality and performance. Assist engineers in identifying and documenting electrical performance issues, risks, and design improvements. Troubleshooting and Debugging Troubleshoot electrical, power distribution, communication, and integration issues on prototype and production systems. Diagnose failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, and bench-top test equipment. Perform root-cause investigations and support implementation of corrective actions. Support system bring-up activities and resolve hardware integration issues. Work closely with engineering teams to evaluate firmware updates, software releases, and system modifications. Documentation and Configuration Control Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, troubleshooting activities, and engineering changes. Document wiring configurations, test results, and hardware revisions. Support engineering configuration management and product release processes. Ensure compliance with company quality standards and engineering procedures. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required due to Department of Defense project involvement. Hands-on experience assembling, soldering, and repairing electronic systems. Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Proficiency with common laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic test equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Understanding of ESD handling requirements and proper PCB workmanshippractices. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related Experience supporting engineering development or R&D programs. Experience with UAS, robotics, aerospace, automotive, or other complexelectromechanical systems. Experience with Pixhawk, Cube, PX4, ArduPilot, or similar flight control systems. Familiarity with communication protocols such as MAVLink, CAN Bus, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and serial communications. Experience with RF communications, telemetry systems, GPS/GNSS receivers,and payload integration. IPC-A-610 and/or

certification. Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools. Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and high-current powerdistribution systems.
