Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Calibration Technician to support calibration and testing activities. This role focuses on executing calibration procedures, processing and analyzing data, troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and maintaining accurate calibration records. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working with electronic systems and data, while collaborating closely with engineers and other technical staff. This position bridges hands-on technical execution and analytical support, contributing directly to data quality, system reliability, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities Calibration Execution & Testing:
Perform routine and specialized calibrations of sensors, instrumentation, and measurement systems Set up equipment and instrumentation according to established procedures and test plans Execute internal testing assignments to support engineering, development, and validation efforts
Data Processing & Analysis:
Post-process calibration and test data using spreadsheets, scripts, or in-house tools Review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency Identify irregularities, trends, or anomalies and communicate findings to engineers Support basic data visualization and presentation of results
Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
Troubleshoot issues related to electronics, wiring, sensors, and data acquisition systems Assist with diagnosing equipment malfunctions and identifying root causes Perform basic repairs, adjustments, or component replacements as appropriate Escalate complex issues to engineering staff with clear documentation
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare calibration summaries, test reports, and supporting documentation Maintain accurate calibration records, logs, and traceability documentation Ensure records comply with internal quality and documentation requirements Assist with updating calibration procedures and work instructions as needed
General Support & Collaboration:
Support engineers and technicians during testing and calibration activities Assist with general laboratory or facility tasks related to calibration and data analysis Carry out other technical duties related to testing and measurement systems as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field Basic understanding of electronics, wiring, and instrumentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate records Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience performing calibrations or working in a laboratory or testing environment Electronics troubleshooting experience, including sensors and basic data acquisition systems Hands-on experience using tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies) Basic coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) Familiarity with data processing and data visualization concepts Exposure to quality systems or calibration standards
