The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Equipment Repair Technician•Install in our Communications Division at our Administrative Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: Installing, removing, and repairing police, communications and other electronic equipment in VSP vehicles. Servicing and repairing motor vehicles. About theAgency:

Of equipment installation procedures and techniques related to police, communications, and other electronic equipment.Skill:
In diagnosing, repairing, and servicing motor vehicles. In the safe use of shop, woodworking, and mechanical hand tools.Ability:
To operate a rollback car carrier. To read and comprehend automotive and equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, and other related technical documents. To work independently and as part of a team. To maintain strong attention to detail. To communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing with personnel. Valid Virginia Driver's License required. Previous experience or training in the electrical/electronic/automobile field. Graduation from high school or equivalent. Additional Considerations Virginia State Inspection certification preferred.
