Job Description

Electronics Technician Overview
  • Bench technician working in a production environment manufacturing new Side Scan Sonar equipment.
  • Position includes building new units from base boards, tuning the units and performing factory acceptance testing. If problems occur units will be troubleshot to component level to resolve the issue. Responsibilities
  • Use of oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and various other pieces of electronic test equipment to analyze functions of analog and digital circuits.
  • Testing, troubleshooting and repair of mixed circuit PCB designs to the component level.
  • Assemble and wire electronics enclosures.
  • Design and fabricate specialized test devices as needed for R & D or production.
  • Demonstrate the ability and attitude to work in a small company environment supporting Research and Development and Production efforts.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Thorough understanding of analog and digital electronic circuit theory.
  • Educational background from Military Electronics School or Associate of Applied Science Electronic Technology from an accredited college is required.
  • Formal
IPC J-STD-001
soldering training a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics diagrams and engineering drawings is required.
  • Experience working with through hole and surface mount components as small as 0402 size and .5mm pitch.
  • Experience with Sonar, Radar or Communications Radio systems is a plus.
  • Self-starter, flexible attitude, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Salary Range - $50,000 to $60,000 per year
