About the
Role:
As a Service Technician, you will tackle diverse technical projects involving mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to both capital improvements and ongoing operational needs. You will be instrumental in the maintenance, setup, and effective operation of integrated systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Strong troubleshooting skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide essential support for the refurbishment of critical outage support systems. Execute on-site maintenance tasks, configure integrated systems, and oversee their operation to guarantee seamless functionality. Travel to various sites, allocating 30-50% of your time to address outages and urgent operational requirements. Initiate purchase requisitions based on system specifications, aligning with daily priorities under guidance. Fabricate, rigorously test, and validate components of complex integrated systems, adhering strictly to engineering procedures, CAD drawings, and schematics. Support and mentor fellow technicians, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing team capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required Skills Associate degree in Electronics or a High School Diploma, complemented by 4+ years of relevant experience in a similar field. Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repair. Comprehensive understanding of the interdependencies within larger integrated systems. Demonstrated soldering expertise (J-STD-001 certification or equivalent proficiency). Preferred Skills Experience using Digital Multimeters, HI Pot testers, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, and calipers for precise diagnostics and testing. Experience with Heavy Equipment Repair. Experience with Mechanical and Electrical Repair. Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Siemens, B&R Industrial Automation).
