Job Description Join our team as a Slot Technician and help keep our gaming floor running at its best. In this hands-on role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair slot machines and gaming systems while providing exceptional support to internal teams and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair slot machines and gaming equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose technical issues. Assist with gaming machine installations, cabling, and system upgrades. Maintain parts inventory and update repair records. Respond to service requests and prioritize repair tickets. Review gaming reports to identify and resolve equipment issues. Coordinate with Tribal Gaming and Facilities to ensure compliance and efficient operations. Assist with cash box drops and other departmental support as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. One year of basic electrical and mechanical experience with knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, networks, and software, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a Washington State Class III Gaming License. Casino experience, technical school education, or experience installing and repairing gaming equipment is preferred. This position requires frequent walking, kneeling, ladder work, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly (up to 100 pounds occasionally) while working in a fast-paced casino environment. Company Description Swinomish Tribe, a community of Coast Salish peoples, are descendants of groups and bands originating in the Skagit and Samish River valleys; the surrounding coastal areas; and islands, including Fidalgo, Camano, Whidbey, and the San Juan Islands. Located on the pristine Washington coast, the Swinomish Casino & Lodge is owned and operated by our tribal community. We started as a small bingo operation in 1985. In 1990, we began negotiations for a gaming license, and a Compact was signed with the State of Washington in December of 1992. We chose to build the casino next to our acclaimed Bingo Hall. The construction was completed, and the Casino opened its doors to the public on July 15, 1994. Over the years, the company has grown, but its philosophy and commitment have always remained the same: to be the friendliest casino in the area with outstanding customer service and to provide guests a luxuriant, state-of-the-art experience while maintaining and upholding the cultural identity of the Swinomish Tribe. Today, we are proud to be one of the leading employers in the Anacortes area.
