DOE Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM Job Details We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser System Test Technician to join a medical device manufacturing company on a temporary basis. This position is responsible for the final testing, validation, troubleshooting, and repair of surgical laser systems to ensure products meet OEM specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a hands-on approach to technical work. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assemble electro-mechanical and optical assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and custom fixtures Optimize laser beam output by adjusting lenses and mirrors to meet performance standards Conduct final testing and validation of surgical laser systems to ensure compliance with OEM specifications Install product upgrades and updates as required Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair medical equipment to determine appropriate maintenance actions Diagnose product failures, including component-level troubleshooting Accurately document production activities, repairs, and parts usage within database systems Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, service manuals, bills of materials, and work instructions Follow all applicable quality, safety, and regulatory procedures Provide support to the service team as needed Qualifications / Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or technical degree in Electronics preferred 2-4 years of experience in a repair depot, field service, biomedical, manufacturing, or related technical environment Experience with electro-mechanical assembly required Experience using test and measurement equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes Soldering experience required Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to perform hands-on technical work in a multi-tasking environment Must be able to frequently lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
