Job Title:
Electronics Technician (Day Shift) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician with a strong technical background to support calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments and systems returned for service. In this role, you work primarily in a laboratory environment, performing detailed analysis, component-level troubleshooting, and maintenance on measurement equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform calibrations on instruments and measurement equipment using various primary standards and measurement and test equipment (M&TE) by following prescribed work instructions. Prepare all required documentation for calibration and repair activities and maintain accurate, up-to-date records. Analyze calibration data and trends, and communicate findings to the appropriate departments to help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Escalate unusual or complex product issues to the appropriate department for further investigation and resolution. Maintain all standards and M&TE in proper working condition to support reliable calibration and testing. In a lab setting, analyze and troubleshoot measurement equipment or components returned by customers to identify issues down to the component level. Perform repairs and resolve technical problems on electronic test and measurement equipment, ensuring that equipment meets required performance specifications. Carry out maintenance services on instruments and systems returned to the service center to restore full functionality. Follow established procedures and quality standards, including applicable metrology and ISO-related practices, to ensure consistent and compliant service. Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing technical information and supporting continuous improvement of service processes. Essential Skills Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics and electrical systems, gained through education or hands-on work. Ability to perform component-level troubleshooting and repair on electronic instruments and systems. Experience working with electronic test equipment and lab equipment in a technical or service environment. Understanding of basic metrology concepts, with familiarity with ISO-related practices preferred. Ability to use test equipment and measurement tools to diagnose and verify performance of instruments. Good written and verbal communication skills to document work clearly and convey technical information. Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. in support of handling instruments and equipment. Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy in calibration and documentation. Ability to work effectively in a team setting with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate of Science degree with a focus in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience; or a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another technical degree. Troubleshooting experience from technical school, laboratory work, or hands-on industry experience. Experience troubleshooting electronic test equipment in a service or lab environment (preferred). At least 6 months of experience using automated test systems (preferred). Soldering experience for component-level rework and repair (preferred). Familiarity with ISO standards and metrology practices (preferred). Work Environment This position is based in a laboratory and service center environment at a technology park location. You work on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with training conducted on the same hours. The role involves hands-on work with electronic test and measurement equipment, primary standards, and measurement and test equipment (M&TE). You handle instruments and components that may require lifting up to 50 lbs. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with a focus on precision, safety, and adherence to documented procedures and ISO-related practices. Typical attire is appropriate for a technical lab and service setting, suitable for working with electronic equipment and tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
