Job Description General Description:
Performs in-house calibration, servicing and/or repair of customer and company products at established company repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures. Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of customer and company products. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues as needed. May communicate with customers for problem investigation. General support and compliance with ISO quality standards and practices to maintain quality. Self-starter with the ability to work independently on 2nd shift- Analyzes, troubleshoots, makes repairs, resolves technical problems and performs maintenance and calibration service on equipment or components returned to repair center by customers.
- Prepares repair and calibration documentation and accurately maintains associated records
- Conveys data and trends on product repairs to appropriate person or department to assure customer satisfaction.
- Raises unusual product issues to technical support or other appropriate department.
- Completes calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently
- Occasionally is required to create calibration data sheets, with minimal direction, based upon instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures.
- Completes all documentation supporting customer requirements, reporting, ISO and other quality systems.
- Acquires job skill and learns company policies
- Basic calibrations
- Adheres to quality management system policies and procedures in performance of work
- Performs other laboratory support functions as needed in an efficient and orderly manner.
