Job Description
Fluke Calibration is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to provide system-level technical leadership for Electrical Calibration (ECAL) products based at Fluke Park, Everett, sustaining industry-leading calibrators while defining architectures for next-generation platforms. You will own end-to-end system behavior across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and service, serving as technical authority for architectural decisions, risk management, and long-term product integrity across multi-decade lifecycles. This role requires strong technical judgment and cross-functional influence to balance metrology performance with manufacturability, supply-chain longevity, and serviceability in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Service.

- Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Technical Leadership
- + Own and evolve system architectures for sustaining and next-generation ECAL platforms. + Serve as technical authority for tradeoffs (accuracy, stability, control, thermals, cost, risk, and supportability). + Guide architecture across Electrical, Firmware, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Service.
- Requirements & System Definition
- + Define, document, and manage system requirements that translate customer, regulatory, and metrology needs into executable designs. + Ensure requirements traceability from concept through verification, production, and sustaining. + Lead system‑level design reviews and provide technical direction on complex or ambiguous problems.
- Sustaining Engineering & Lifecycle Stewardship
- + Provide senior technical leadership for sustaining programs, including component EOL mitigation, factory transfers, performance improvements, and field issue resolution. + Ensure system integrity and calibration performance are preserved across design changes and manufacturing updates. + Act as a key knowledge steward for long‑lived platforms, supporting onboarding and technical continuity
- Quality, Manufacturability & Verification
- + Ensure system designs are robust, manufacturable, and verifiable, supporting low‑volume / high‑mix production environments. + Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams to define test strategies, calibration flows, and service models. + Support verification and validation activities to ensure products meet Fluke standards for accuracy, safety, and reliability.

- + Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field.

- This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
- Pay Range
- The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 137,200.
